Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Services from Oklahoma State University

Amanda's heart has always been to serve people. After moving to the Tulsa area, she worked in social services for six months before realizing she wasn't doing the kind of serving she wanted to do. Amanda worked in a family practice clinic, then a pediatric therapy clinic gaining experience and insight about healthcare and health insurance while helping families and meeting their needs.

Amanda began work at Family Hope House in 2017, following two coworkers who also joined FHH that year. She enjoys working in the billing and finance office at FHH because of the abundance of opportunities there are to impact people. She loves helping clients and clients' guardians determine insurance benefits for behavioral health services to ensure the financial side of therapy is a smooth and easy process. Amanda also manages clinician contracts with health insurance companies and the financial records for FHH. She believes coworkers can make or break a job, and Amanda believes she has the best coworkers on the planet.

Amanda and her husband adopted their son Brandon when he was 14 years old. Since then, they know firsthand how crucial the good, attachment-focused, adoption-competent therapy services FHH offers are. The parent education provided by FHH has made a huge impact on her family, and she believes all parents should participate, even if they are not foster or adoptive families.

Spending time with family is at the top of Amanda's favorite things list. In addition to her teenage son, she and her husband also have an elementary-aged daughter. They love to be outside, play games, and be silly together. She plays the piano, leads worship at her church, and enjoys baking delicious treats to share with others. A favorite pastime of hers includes reading a good book snuggled up in a recliner with her favorite quilt and a cup of coffee.
